Kum & Go Golf Classic supporting Holy Family School - a Terrific Success!

This year's golf event was the biggest and most lucrative ever. Almost 150 golfers attended which included several diocesan priests. Kum & Go was our title sponsor. As such, a large percentage of the golfers have a vendor relationship with them and came from outside of the Des Moines metropolitan area. The event provided a perfect venue for educating those not familiar with the school. Holy Family middle school students were present at the golf course and assisted in the logistics and organization of the day. Golfers were able to meet and talk with the students and their presence reminded golfers of the purpose of the event. Many golfers went home with items and information highlighting the Holy Family name and golf event logo. The event allowed an opportunity for fellowship and fun - all while financially benefitting and heightening awareness of Holy Family School and its mission. Praire Meadows Funds 2011-2012 After School Program

Holy Family School was among more than 192 non-profit organizations recognized at the Prairie Meadows 2010 Community Betterment Grant Award Lunceheon on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Holy Family School received an $11,050 grant from Prairie Meadows to help fund the Offering a Helping Hand After-School Program for the upcoming school year 2011-2012. This program of homework help and tutuoring is critical in helping students in grades 3 through 8 who are most at risk of failing.
